Purpose and goal

The goal of this project is to support small and medium sized Companies (SMEs) in research applications and to plan and execute relevant technology related activities, all in order to strengthen the competitiveness of the Swedish aerospace sector. During the project a total of 34 technical projects with 26 different SMEs have been conducted. A number of knowledge strengthening and dissemination activities have been organized and executed in the manufacturing arenas of Compraser Labs and PTC, namely two result seminars, two technology inspiration seminars and 4 workshops/courses.

Expected results and effects

The project is expected to strengthen the competitiveness by increasing the state-of-the art level of Swedish SMEs. Through the activities conducted in the project several of the participating SMEs has started to deliver products and services to aerospace companies and joined national and international research consortia, something which is proof of the projects positive effects.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has supported SMEs in applications, both within the program and in other national and international research programs. In addition to this knowledge building activities like seminars and courses have been conducted. This activities have been appreciated by the participants and the results are good, but in a follow up project the networking aspects should be strengthened and new companies and partners included.
