Call Transport and mobility services - FFI - spring 2025

Purpose and goal

The aim and objective of this project is to clarify the R&I challenges that exist in automated generation of data from documents & dialogues to transport planning. Furthermore, to identify algorithms for extraction and necessary management system interactions to streamline the logistics system for electric trucks. The project is expected to lead to a main project application to FFI with an expanded number of participating stakeholders.

Expected effects and result

Transport efficiency increases, which is positive for both carriers and customers. At the same time, accessibility, sustainability and the ability to handle rapid changes, e.g. in crises, are improved – which strengthens the resilience. The project results are intended to be implemented in a main project with >50 electric trucks. Results as a basis for standard development and further research will be published. More actors will be invited to the discussion via the participating actors´ network.

Planned approach and implementation

The feasibility study will describe the R&I required to achieve the type of system described in the objectives, both for project partners and for future partners in a subsequent main project. The implementation of this feasibility study has been divided into 4 different work packages (AP): AP 1: Real-time extraction & addition of driving assignments AP 2: Automated dialogue-based order reception AP 3: Driver-adapted mobile app interface AP 4: Coordination and development of main projects

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
