Coordinator RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 75 300 000
Project duration January 2024 - December 2026
Status Ongoing

Purpose and goal

The aim of the activities at the National Metrology Institute (NMI) of Sweden for 2024 is to keep the same number of CMCs (Calibration and Measurement Capability) in the database at BIPM as 2023 and thus maintain the same level of service for Swedish industry. Activities within the NMI of RISE covers Mass, Length, Volume/flow , Force, Pressure, Sound/acceleration, Time/frequency, Electricity DC/LF, high voltage and microwaves, Photometry/radiometry and Temperature.

Expected effects and result

The expected results of the NMI at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB is to fulfill all aspects described by the national requirements regarding management and maintenance of traceability to SI, including participation in international comparison measurements according to a Mutual Recognition Arrangement, MRA.

Planned approach and implementation

Project plans and implementation are summarized in the original application for maintenance of standards and related investments in reference equipment. The activities within the NMI of RISE covers Mass, Length, Volume/flow , Force, Pressure, Sound/acceleration, Time/frequency, Electricity DC/LF, high voltage and microwaves, Photometry/radiometry and Temperature and are recognized in full in the 14 appendices that are part of the original proposal.
