The result has lead to the development of SIP Lättvikt into a well-functioning Strategic Innovation Programme. The activities have contributed to 130 new organisations participating in LIGHTer activities during 2016. The update of our research agenda, including the analysis of global trends, is a key results to keep Sweden´s competitiveness in the lightweight area. In the autumn 2016 SIP Lättvikt has been evaluated by external experts. The results of this project have been included in the overall evaluation and thereby enabled SIP Lättvikt to work further in Phase 2 from 2017 to 2019.
Planned approach and implementation
We have held four well attended workshops. We see a value in spreading them out in different parts of the country. We have cooperated with the University of Borås, Triple Steelix and Offshore Väst. We make ´success stories´ of every completed technical research project. In 2016 only one project was completed. 5 one-pagers were made from ´Triple Use´. Together with regional representatives of Östergötland and Blekinge we have created new regional LIGHTer nodes focusing on SMEs. The updated Lightweight agenda towards 2037 has been made in cooperation with the entire LIGHTer network.
