Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to contribute to increased national innovation capacity in sports and outdoor clothing through collaboration between Peak Innovation, Östersund, and the School of Textiles, University of Borås. Through visits, studies and stays with producers, owners of needs and other actors, the project has developed knowledge and understanding of innovation and research processes within active wear, and contacts between partners have been established and developed.
Expected long term effects
Developed knowledge and understanding of innovation and research processes in active wear, and contacts with various actors in the field, have provided several new opportunities in education and research. Among other things, it has resulted in the development of new independent courses for professionals as well as program courses for students, as well as the development of development and research issues in the field by business actors, teachers and researchers together.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out through visits, studies and stays at Peak Innovation, producers, users and other actors in active wear, as well as a collaborative meeting between the University of Borås, Peak Innovation, Mid Sweden University and business representatives. The method has been successful in enabling both deep and broad knowledge and understanding of innovation and research processes as well as development of contacts for future national cooperation within active wear.
