Important results from the project
To a large extent. The project has established a softlanding programme that attracts and supports international scaleups and more mature companies in their establishment and growth in Northern Sweden. Through close collaboration with Business Sweden and regional stakeholders, Northern Sweden’s key strengths have been packaged into an offering that can now be used, further developed, and scaled as a long-term component of the region’s work on international establishment and growth.
Expected long term effects
The project has created long-term conditions for future establishments and investments in Northern Sweden. The developed softlanding offering and established collaboration structures enable continued cooperation across organisational and regional boundaries and contribute to more coordinated, efficient, and scalable efforts for international establishment and talent attraction, with relevance also at national level.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented as planned, with a clear focus on testing and further developing the softlanding offering through international outreach, collaboration with regional and national stakeholders, and learning. The work included participation in strategically selected international trade fairs as well as targeted meetings and dialogues with international companies within the project’s defined target group, which were subsequently followed up to further deepen the discussions.
