Academic exchange within technology and competence – Australia and Sweden

Purpose and goal

The project is an academic exchange between Luleå University of Technology (Sweden) and universities in Australia with a focus on mining technology and expertise. The project aims to promote collaboration in research in deep mining, address common challenges and leverage expertise in automation, mining technology and rock mechanics.

Attracting funding, promoting strategic objectives and increasing global competitiveness in ore extraction/mining research between Sweden and Australia

Planned approach and implementation

This grant will support a one-week research and collaboration visit to two Australian universities, with the goal of expanding the applicant’s professional network and establishing a foundation for the objectives outlined in this application. The main activities will include formalizing institutional partnerships, gaining deeper insight into recent technological advancements and laboratory facilities, enhancing competencies between the institutions, and promoting joint research activities
