Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project was to deliver a roadmap for Swedish development and innovation around graphene technology, in particular on applications related to composites and coatings. The road map have been produced and will be distributed by the next SIO Grafen newsletter (spring 2017).
Expected results and effects
The aim was to identify possible applications of graphene in composites and coatings that are of importance for Swedish industry and the development of these areas over the next 5 to 10 years. We have achieved the results and the road map will be used for continued strategic work within SIO Grafen.
Planned approach and implementation
The analysis were based on telephone interviews with Swedish companies and research institutes with known activity in the area. The results were summarized in the SWOT analysis and roadmap. The goal was 20 interviews. Unfortunately time and lack of access to identified stakeholders not enable us to achieve this goal. But the 17 interviews were conducted covering the entire range of applications we have identified as important in Sweden. A draft of this was presented at an open workshop where all could comment on these. After minor adjustments we compiled the final version.
