Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to create a competitive proposal to EIC Pathfinder Open to develop groundbreaking technology to prevent infection without using traditional antibiotics. During the project period, two workshops were arranged for effective work with the proposal, as well as regular Teams meetings. The result was a clear and well-structured submitted proposal written by an interdisciplinary consortium of 7 parties.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to contribute to promoting innovation that can prevent infections without the use of traditional antibiotics. A successful project is expected to lead to fewer complications during wound healing and contribute to reducing the societal burden caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Approach and implementation
All parties in the interdisciplinary consortium contributed to the writing of the EIC proposal. Two workshops were arranged to effectively work on the proposal´s scientific question, impact, and structure. Roles and responsibilities were allocated early on and a consultant was used to support the work. In addition to the workshops, regular Teams meetings were held for planning and coordination.
