Important results from the project

REACH is a Silicon Valley-based incubator program designed to boost Nordic research-based tech and spin-out projects that have international ambitions and potential. This on-the-job training program runs over six calendar months with a 14-day acceleration visit to Silicon Valley. The program features top mentor sessions, potential customer identification, partner/investor meetings, workshops, and business events.

Expected long term effects

Taking part in this program has provided us with a targeted and accelerated approach to de-risking the commercialization process. It has helped us to identify a path toward realizing the technology´s commercial potential in the US market while sharpening value proposition, and pitch. Furthermore, we could expand our professional network and present our product at an international fair and make connections with new investors.

Approach and implementation

The program has taken place as a six-month on-the-job training that includes five months of mentoring online and thereafter concluded with two intensive weeks of workshops and mentor meetings in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley. The final week focused on funding and investment themes, as well as strategies for growing teams and scaling sales from the founder-led to the ramp-up phase. The last day included two investor panels whereas we as one of the teams presented a three-minute pitch and received feedback and questions. The event was well-attended by members of the local tech ecosystem.
