Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The focus of "500k" is to accommodate more residents in existing areas of single-family housing through co-creation, involving both citizens and municipalities. The overall purpose of the feasibility study has been for all parties to create a common platform and to shape the process ahead. Together we have developed a comprehensive "process map" and suggested tests starting from a described "present situation" and "future" mode.

Expected results and effects

1. Increased understanding of the current process from a user perspective (municipality/homeowner) and ideas about a future process. Outcome: A number of practical tests have been defined. 2. Increased understanding of obstacles and opportunities in existing housing zoning codes and planning processes. Outcome: New knowledge, mapping of current situation in defined pilot areas. 3. To create a platform for collaboration, a common digital "project place". Outcome: Platform is up and running.

Planned approach and implementation

Emphasis in the feasibility study has been put on creating a "common ground" for all involved parties. The main event we all did together was a conference with workshops in Norrtälje. Preparatory work for the conference was to map out current zoning regulations in selected pilot areas, as well as studies of municipal processes and management today. During the conference we worked to find/define possible changes in municipal processes and policies. After the conference we did a compilation of all findings, drew conclusions and performed further joint work to formulate tests.
