Purpose and goal
Assessment of tradeoff between external sensors and safety Quantification of KPIs for different deployments and sensors What is the impact on speed for various sensor ? Regulatory implications! Networked Perception and 5GSA NW requirements What are the requirements on the 5G NW and the QoS requirements to support Networked Perception? What is the impact on mobile data services for different sensors? Exploration of trade-off between onboard sensors and safety Can Networked Perception reduce costs without compromising safety? Usage of less expensive sensors to achieve same safety ?
Expected results and effects
Establishment of the world-first connected sensor infrastructure for AVs Sensors 5G connected and to be deployed in several (about 6) locations in Kista Supporting alternative embodiments: local processing or processing at the edge Demonstrator(s): Specific service deployment by Foodora in Kista Teraki vehicle(s) branded with partners’ logos Remotely accessible video and sensor data in control tower using Telia’s 5G net AV connected via 5G, receiving PaaS data from 5G sensors via Innovation Cloud Full integration of external sensor data with the robot’s motion planner
Planned approach and implementation
Veoneer Offersautomotive radars, mono-and stereo-vision cameras, night driving assist systems and ADAS software for autonomous driving.” Teraki Provides Robot which isequipped with a highly specialized sensor set-up to navigate the sidewalks Viscando 1 Provides external camera sensors “Swedish company specialized on developing sensors for traffic monitoring andintersection control for Smart Cities” Foodora “Most popular platform for restaurant food delivery and Q-commerce in the Nordics” Telia Sharing sensor data via Telia Public 5G NW, mainly during demo events.
