European Innovation Council (EIC)

EIC offers support for pioneering and market creation with diversification potential that is too financially risky for private investors. The council also helps innovators to create the markets of the future, mobilize private funding and expand.

The EIC has two complementary tools that can be used to bridge the gap between idea and project worth investing in. These are:

• Pathfinder offers funding (from early technology to funding technology).
• Accelerator only offers funding and mixed financing (from pre-commercial technology to funding and distribution-ready technology).

European Innovation Ecosystem

European innovation system emphasized in Pillar 3 and aim at links between regional and national innovation actors.

European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)

The EIT's role lies in bringing together key actors in research, education and business to work towards common objective that promote innovation.
