The European Commission is organizing its own information day on the upcoming calls within Horizontal Activities: Nature and Bridging. Therefore, this information meeting previously planned by Vinnova will be replaced by an opportunity to receive information directly from the European Commission’s responsible officers. We encourage all interested parties to participate in the Commission’s information day.

The European Commission has now published a draft of the new Horizontal Activities, a new element of Horizon Europe that will help to link different parts of the programme and support the EU's strategic priorities and is intended to act as a bridge between Horizon Europe and the next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, FP10. The new calls for proposals cover two areas. One is Bridging actions, which is the focus of this meeting. The other area, Nature, where the focus is on biodiversity, transformative change, nature restoration, One Health and the connections between oceans, climate and ecosystems with the aim of translating research and innovation into concrete societal benefits and a nature-positive transition, will be presented at a separate information meeting on 16 September Information meeting about the EU's new Bridging Actions with a focus on NATURE
