Common Data Project (GDP)?
The Common Data Project (GDP) is based on a government assignment to Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas, Forte and the Swedish Research Council, which has led to the development of a common model for sharing comparable data on funding. The model has been developed in collaboration with external data consumers.
Vinnova was the first to create an API in 2024 that shares data according to a common information model. Ett API is a programming interface that can be processed and used, for example, to build apps or web services.
Now the next step is being taken where all five GDP financiers will begin sharing data from November 2025.
Launch and demonstration
Our clients, universities, other public activities, private companies, industry organizations and even the funders themselves benefit greatly from standardized data. For example, it can simplify administrative handling, facilitate follow-up and provide data for actors to better plan new applications.
On October 16th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a digital demonstration will be held for employees at the five financiers to show how GDP data can be visualized with Microsoft Power BI and how it can be used.
The project and data sharing solutions will be presented at an open launch event at Vinnova on December 2nd from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The event is open to both physical and digital attendees. External stakeholders will also participate in the presentation and talk about the benefits of GDP data sharing for their organizations.
