The call for proposals is based on a joint effort from Tillväxtverket and Vinnova. By working in a more coordinated manner and synchronizing efforts for innovation and business development in the food sector, better conditions can be created for Swedish companies and actors to lead the development in producing the good and sustainable food of the future.

The funding comes from four out of nine Swedish programme within the EU's regional fund. The four programs are Skåne-Blekinge, Western Sweden, Småland and the islands and Eastern Central Sweden.
