Globalization and internationalization mean opportunities. In addition to the opportunities that exist with internationalization, there are also increasing challenges in cross-border collaborations related to national security, intellectual property rights, data management and democracy. Against this background, it is necessary to have the knowledge and competence of Swedish actors, such as universities and university colleges, authorities and companies to handle the increasing complexity of globalization. A responsible approach is also based on trend scouting, environmental monitoring and on-site promotion.
Sweden's innovation and research council abroad (IoF council) constitutes a resource in strengthening Sweden strategically in the long term through international collaborations. In what way do issues surrounding responsible internationalization affect the mission and work of the IoF councils in each country? How are these issues handled in the countries in which the IoF councils work? These are some of the questions discussed during the panel discussion.
The seminar is aimed at everyone who works with internationalization in higher education, research and innovation.
