E-commerce is a complex societal challenge with great potential to contribute to sustainable development. However, to capture this potential and transform e-commerce into a sustainable system, a thorough system change is required.
The development of e-commerce has led to an increased availability of goods and services within and outside metropolitan areas, where digital commerce is the key and creates new opportunities for a number of actors. However, the development of e-commerce has led to a large increase in deliveries of smaller packages and goods, fragmented transport flows and the emergence of new supply chains.
Against this background, the platform ASTER (Alliance for sustainable e-commerce) together with Vinnova invites you to a digital lunch seminar to talk about ongoing initiatives, good examples and opportunities for funding in the area.
During the seminar, you get to listen to companies that work with innovation and solutions around packaging, returns and future delivery locations. You also get an overview of the call for proposals which is open until May 9, where you have the opportunity to apply funding for project in the innovation areas of sustainable packaging solutions, return systems and delivery locations.
