Viable Cities - Connecting the future to our cities

The climate crisis is high on the agenda and cities are essential entities in transitions towards climate neutrality, with digitalization and citizen involvement as important facilitators of that transition. In this call we welcome project applications focusing on cities that aim to hasten the transition to be viable and climate neutral by 2030. Project consortia shall contribute with innovative solutions and new knowledge that can contribute to the acceleration of the transition to lives within the planetary boundaries.

What can you apply for?

The call welcomes projects utilising a holistic perspective of cities and which employs both digitalization and citizen involvement as facilitators for a transitions to climate neutral cities.

Who can apply?

This call is open for business sector, research institutes, academia and organizations from civil society. At least three actors should participate in a proposal.

How much can you apply for?

  • Pre-studies: 200 000 – 500 000 kr
  • Research projects: 2 000 000 – 3 000 000 kr
  • Innovation projects: 500 000 – 3 000 000 kr
  • Demonstration projects: 500 000 – 500 000 kr
