Road safety and automated vehicles - FFI -June 2021

With this the offer we want to support the project which contributes to the zero vision and to the automation of vehicles and transport systems. The goal is to contribute to increased road safety by supporting the development of vehicles with an optimal combination of active and passive systems that reduce the number of accidents and the consequences of the accidents that nevertheless occur. The offer is part of the Vehicle Strategic research and innovation (FFI) program.

What can you apply for?

Preliminary studies and full-scale project that contribute to increased traffic safety and to automation of road vehicles and transport systems

Who can apply?

Research performers, industry, academia, institutes and more. Collaboration between different parties is encouraged.

How much can you apply for?

The maximum amount for feasibility studies is SEK 500,000. There is no upper limit for full-scale project, but the guideline is that a project receives a maximum of 50 percent of the project´s total budget. Each project needs to be funded with at least 25 percent from the business community. You can get funding for a maximum of 4 years.

  • What happens after the call has closed?

    Once your application has been registered, we'll send a confirmation email to the person responsible for the user account, as well as to the project manager and the company signer. Please note that this may take a few hours after the call has closed.

    After the closing date, you can't register any new information. You may only add information to your application if we ask for it.

    Who can read your application?

    Applications submitted to us become official documents. However, we don't disclose information about business operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer economic damage if we do.

    This means that we must disclose the documents if someone requests them. However, we can black out information if we believe it could cause economic harm if disclosed.
