Civic tech: Digital services for enhanced trust between citizens and the public sector

This call is currently open for proposals: In this the offer we welcome project proposals that bring together engaged innovators of the public sector with cutting-edge digital competence. The projects will develop new digital services that can contribute to enhanced trust between citizens and the public sector.

What can you apply for?

Development of new services that enhance trust between citizens and public sector, leveraging digital technologies, citizen engagement and open government.

Who can apply?

Any legal entities, for example start-ups or enterprises, civil society organisations, municipalities or government agencies. Projects must consist of at least two project partners from different sectors and bring together engaged innovators of the public sector with cutting-edge digital competence.

How much can you apply for?

Maximum SEK 2 million per project application. The maximum aid intensity for each project partner is dependent of the type and size of each partner.

Important dates

In this call we assess incoming applications on a number of occasions.That's why we've divided this call into several application periods. This means that if you submit your application before the last day of one of these application periods, you can have it assessed close to that date. But you can submit your application at any time until the very last application date. In the timeline you can see the next application period.

  • How to apply

    To apply for funding, you need to complete an application form in our application portal, Intressentportalen. The form contains questions about your project, project members and budget.

    Allow enough time to complete the application

    Please keep in mind that it takes time to make an application. Filling in all the templates can take several days, since they are based on analyzes you need to do. Therefore, start the application well in advance. You can start filling in data, save and continue at a later time. Even when the application is complete, you can at any time unlock the application and make changes right up until the call closes.

    What happens after the call has closed?

    Once your application has been registered, we'll send a confirmation email to the person responsible for the user account, as well as to the project manager and the company signer. Please note that this may take a few hours after the call has closed.

    After the closing date, you can't register any new information. You may only add information to your application if we ask for it.

    Who can read your application?

    Applications submitted to us become official documents. However, we don't disclose information about business operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer economic damage if we do.

    This means that we must disclose the documents if someone requests them. However, we can black out information if we believe it could cause economic harm if disclosed.
