Research, development and innovation in the fields of life science, traffic safety and applied ICT - China collaboration

With this proposition, we wish to create opportunities for bilateral collaboration with China in the fields of life science, traffic safety and applied ICT. The purpose is to improve research, development and innovation that leads to increased traffic safety and better health in Sweden and other countries.

What can you apply for?

Research, development and innovation projects in the fields of life science, traffic safety and applied ICT. The project must last for 2-3 years.

 

Who can apply?

Companies in collaboration with academia and/or the public sector. The project must have a cooperation with China. The constellation in China shall consist of companies and academia.

How much can you apply for?

The total budget for projects in Sweden is SEK 26 million. With this we intend to finance about 4-6 projects. The total budget for projects in China is 20 million RMB.

Important dates

  • What is the offer about?

    We want to encourage initiatives that, with the help of research and innovation, develop and increase competence in the areas of life science, traffic safety and applied ICT. The project should be a collaboration between Swedish and Chinese actors. Projects should last between two and three years.

    How should the project group look?

    Project group should be a constellation consisting of a Swedish group and a Chinese group. The Swedish constellation shall consist of at least one company and one partner from the academic and/or the public sector. We welcome both small and medium-sized and large companies. The bilateral constellation must be specified in the proposal. Each national group make their own researches in their respective countries.

    • Mobile health and intelligent medical technologies, enabled by Internet of Things

    How to apply

    To apply for funding, you need to complete an application form in our application portal, Intressentportalen. The form contains questions about your project, project members and budget.

    Please download the documents that you need to attach to your application, for example, the template for a CV or a project description.

    Allow enough time to complete the application

    Keep in mind that it can take several days to gather the information you need to complete your application, so it’s a good idea to start early. That way, you can save your details and come back to your application, making adjustments until you submit it.

    What happens after the call has closed?

    Once your application has been registered, we'll send a confirmation email to the person responsible for the user account, as well as to the project manager and the company signer. Please note that this may take a few hours after the call has closed.

    After the closing date, you can't register any new information. You may only add information to your application if we ask for it.

    Who can read your application?

    Applications submitted to us become official documents. However, we don't disclose information about business operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer economic damage if we do.

    This means that we must disclose the documents if someone requests them. However, we can black out information if we believe it could cause economic harm if disclosed.
