Are you a researcher or have a company with business in Sweden? Then you can apply for funding for research projects in aeronautics. The research projects can last up to five years and should be coordinated by industry. The research program is funded by Vinnova and the National defense in collaboration.

What can you apply for?

Funding for research projects in aeronautics. The research projects can last up to five years and should be coordinated by industry.

Who can apply?

Companies with operations in Sweden together with Swedish research institutes, universities and colleges. The contribution goes to the academic parties, institutes and small and medium-sized enterprises.

How much can you apply for?

At least 2 million kronor for no more than 5 years. The participating company shall self-finance at least the same amount.

  • What is the offer about?

    The offer finances demand-driven research projects with TRL levels 1-3(4) Technology Readiness Level.

    The projects will be coordinated by industry, and will be in the field of aeronautics research. The overall purpose of the announcement is to contribute to:

    • Growth and more jobs
    • Technology dissemination to other sectors
    • Industrial renewal
    • Greener, safer and more efficient air traffic.

    How to apply

    To apply for funding, you need to complete an application form in our application portal, Intressentportalen. The form contains questions about your project, project members and budget.

    Allow enough time to complete the application

    Keep in mind that it can take several days to gather the information you need to complete your application, so it’s a good idea to start early. You can start to fill in your details, save and make adjustments until the call has closed.

    What happens after the call has closed?

    Once your application has been registered, we'll send a confirmation email to the person responsible for the user account, as well as to the project manager and the company signer. Please note that this may take a few hours after the call has closed.

    After the closing date, you can't register any new information. You may only add information to your application if we ask for it.

    Who can read your application?

    Applications submitted to us become official documents. However, we don't disclose information about business operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer economic damage if we do.

    This means that we must disclose the documents if someone requests them. However, we can black out information if we believe it could cause economic harm if disclosed.
