Important results from the project
Our aim with this project was to conduct seminars on women´s health issues during Nordiskt Forum 2014 in collaboration with our sister oranizations in Finland and Norway. We focused on research and educational issues. Approx. 20 000 people from all over the world attended the conference and a vast programme of seminars was offered. We organized 3 seminars and we also had an exhibition stall to provide information on our work in Sweden and the other Nordic countries.
Expected long term effects
Our semianars were very well attended and recieved. We had managed to attract excellent speakers, even though the conference took place in mid June, a time of the year that most Swedes have family matters on their agendas. We formed new relevant contact with politicians as well as in the media sector. Our information booth recieved many interested visitors from as far away as South Korea.
Approach and implementation
Our plan was to showcase our work together with our Nordic sister organizations, which proved to be a good and productive idea. A project group with members from all 3 organizations was responsible for planning our activities at NF 2014 and it turned out to be an easy and problem free collaboration. We intend to continue with joint projects in the future.
