Important results from the project
During this project we have validated the need of our product both through direct interaction with end users and contact with end users via consultants. We have developed a prototype that can be used to demonstrate the concept which has been used to gather feedback on functionality, design and usability. We have also started the IP process and have created a draft of a patent together with a patent attorney. We have thus fullfilled the objectives of this project which was to validate the need of the product and the business potential.
Expected long term effects
Our user studies show that there is a large interest for our product in physiotherapy and possibly also other clinical fields. We have managed to develop a second generation prototype that has been used to demonstrate the product for end users. This has given invaluable insights in product design and usability. This feedback is continuously integrated in our product development process. We have also created a draft of a patent application together with a patent attorney. We hope to be able to file a patent application very soon.
Approach and implementation
We have had the privilege of working in close collaboration with the clinic for physiotherapy at Karolinska Hospital and this has enabled us to developer the product together with end uses. The sencond generation prototype have enabled us to gather feedback from them efficiently. It has also been very usedful to validate the need of the product directly with end users. We have also focused a lot on IP in this project. This has resulted in several patent ideas which will increase the product integrity, which is important to increase the business potential in this project.
