Important results from the project
Israel has a leading position in food tech and food innovation, making Israel as a whole, as well as Israeli specific organizations and entrepreneurs, important partners in the global food tech industry. With this trip, Sweden Foodtech has promoted cooperation with Israel and key Israeli actors. We have explored potential collaborations and initiated several projects for the future, with the hope of promoting innovation and strengthening the Swedish food tech ecosystem.
Expected long term effects
Sweden Foodtech wishes to develop the Swedish food tech ecosystem through increased collaboration with international networks, both entrepreneurs and bigger players. Through this trip, we have both strengthened previous relationships with key actors in the industry, but above all acquired many new relationships that will lead to increased international collaboration to build a new food system. Sweden´s position in the industry is also strengthened by our presence at international gatherings, such as Foodtech IL.
Approach and implementation
We participated at the Foodtech IL conference, one of the largest gatherings in the food and foodtech industry. There we took part in many exciting meetings and inspiring lectures. We spent the remaining days meeting specific, selected companies with the aim of increasing Israeli and Swedish cooperation. We met both ecosystem actors, NGOs, researchers, investors and companies that all work in foodtech or the food industry.
