Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to describe how the biobased raw material is used in production processes, product segments and recycling cycles in society and how biogenic carbon flows between primary production, industry and society.
The goal of the project is to formulate and anchor a clear picture of the Swedish biogenic carbon flows.
Expected effects and result
The project will result in communication material that clearly illustrates the biogenic carbon flows in Sweden.
In the longer term, the project is expected to contribute to a development towards better resource utilization of biogenic carbon, and to a higher value addition of bioraw materials in both primary production and recycled biogenic carbon.
Planned approach and implementation
The implementation builds on previously conducted area analyses. Already produced illustrations and reports will be aggregated to a suitable level to visualize the entire Swedish biogenic carbon flows from harvest, to industry to society including export, import and recycling and reuse.
The work will be synchronized with other ongoing project in the area.
