Important results from the project
The project is to be seen as step 1 aiming to prepare an application in step 2 concerning Vinnovas call about the strategic development of collaboration between universities and the surrounding society. The result has been an application in step 2 and a raised preparedness to engage in collaboration.
Expected long term effects
Initially an application was delivered after a dialogue between the universities of Borås, Halmstad, Jönköping and Skövde aiming to try a modell for a more structured collaboration between the universities and the surrounding society. Vinnova added two more universities West and Malmö to the groupe. This enlarged constellation continued together preparing a joint application, CARENA Collaboration Arenas, which was delivered by the six parties. The joint work have consisted by two full day seminars (in Gothenburg and Jönköping) and tree Skype-meetings.
Approach and implementation
The timeframe was too short to accomplish the local meetings that were planned in the application for step 1. During the process with the application for step 2 many members of staff have been involved at each university and the choice of cases will in itself contribute to a strategic development of collaboration.
