Important results from the project
Project goals: 1. To broaden the platform to an advocacy platform for sustainable agriculture production. 2. That ´Precision Farming Sweden´ will participate as a coordinator or as a partner in Horizon 2020 at latest in 2016. Goal 1. The project has collected 66 different companies and organizations interested in participating in a broader platform for increased participation in Horizon´s calls. Goal 2. We have good conditions achieve this goal. We have so far participated in two H2020 applications and we have a member in the EIP Agri´s focus group Mainstreaming precision farming.
Expected long term effects
An application for a two-year funding from Vinnova has been developed but refused. Many contacts have been created and many have been informed about H2020. The project has stimulated at least three participants to participate in actual calls 2014. One of these has been accepted in the second stage. The project has led to two participants now participating in two of the EIP Agri Focus Groups. The project has led to four platform participants attended the Workshop Establishing Operational Groups in Tallin 2-3 / 4 in 2014. Many have participated in education days for writing applications.
Approach and implementation
Mapping of stakeholders, current calls, ETP´s and different pathways to influence has been made. Important advocacy actors have been contacted and visited. A seminar with 48 participants from 25 different actors in the theme has been arranged.. Information about the project and about H2020 have been made, among others at seminars 25-26 / 6 on Borgeby Field Days. Information has been posted on Agroväst´s website. An application for funds to run the platform during 2 years have been developed and submitted to Vinnova. The interest from actors to participate in the platform has been great.
