Important results from the project

An important component of the work has been to both map the actors and above all understand the ecosystem, how it is structured and how it works. During the project, both ongoing work was carried out locally in Silicon Valley and activities in connection with the Swedish quantum delegation, fall 2024. Through a roundtable discussion with American and Swedish representatives from the quantum field, concrete proposals for action for increased transatlantic collaborations were captured.

Expected long term effects

Implemented activities have contributed to strengthening Sweden´s position in quantum technology by mapping the ecosystem and its actors. This has created synergies and knowledge transfer, especially with a focus on the USA, which strengthens market establishment and collaborations. Deeper relationships with actors in Silicon Valley can lead to strategic collaborations, investments and exchange of expertise, which in the long term strengthens Sweden´s attractiveness and innovative capacity.

Approach and implementation

The project was terminated early when the project manager completed his assignment and the activities were adjusted accordingly. Otherwise, the activities were relevant.
