Important results from the project
The project has enabled Chalmers to continue to lead a strong and credible consortium within urban mobility with the aim of applying for a KIC in 2018, has been able to raise the visibility of urban mobility as a priority issue for Europe, and has developed the content of the theme to strengthen a future application.
Expected long term effects
Thanks to the successful conclusion of the project, the Chalmers-lead consortium has a very strong position for a KIC application in 2108, and a large number of strong and multidisciplinary partners. An expected outcome of the project is a successful KIC application in 2018.
Approach and implementation
The project was successfully planned and carried out, but underestimated the intensity of competition and the need for public visibility (presumably brought on by the fact that this will be the last KIC opportunity in the current EIT SIA). Due to these unforeseen circumstances, the project budget underestimated the need for services and support with, for example, web page development and communication. The shortfall was covered by Chalmers resources.
