Purpose and goal
The project aims to give Lumiary the best possible conditions to win funding in the Advanced integrated photonic devices call (HORIZON-CL4-2027-05-DIGITAL-EMERGING-03) within the Photonics Partnership. The goal is to form a competitive European consortium and submit a strong proposal for developing a chromometric microphone advancing the technology from TRL 4 to TRL 6, with a deadline of 18 March 2027.
Expected effects and result
The outcome is a complete and competitive proposal for HORIZON-CL4-2027, built on a European consortium with confirmed technical partners and an application partner. The effect is increased prospects for EU funding of the main project, ultimately strengthening Lumiary´s path to commercialisation, building a coherent European photonics value chain, and contributing to EU strategic autonomy in sensor and semiconductor technology.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is divided into five work packages: WP1 develops the technical concept and system sketch for a TRL 6 prototype. WP2 builds the European consortium including an application partner. WP3 shapes the main project content around Excellence and Impact. WP4 produces project design, budget and consortium description. WP5 integrates and quality-assures the proposal with external consultant support and submits before the 18 March 2027 deadline.
