Important results from the project
The project consists of three phases, where the ongoing phase II, the design phase, has ended. The ultimate goal is to achieve a development platform with players from the VA industry that will work to achieve a VA distribution system with at least a 150-year lifespan and minimization of operating costs. For phase II, the goal has been to specify and design an organization for the platform, to implement three pilot projects to test the platform and to design a plan for the realization phase.
Expected long term effects
A business plan has been made where the development platform´s organization, the financial conditions and an implementation plan have been formulated. A large number of actors have participated in phase II and its pilot projects and shown interest in being paying members of the platform. The actors represent the VA principals, material and product developers, authorities and research institutes, which paves the way for good dissemination of knowledge and initiation of development projects.
Approach and implementation
Four workshops/seminars (inclusive start and final meeting) have been held with industry representatives, and three pilot projects have been carried out to test the model of the development platform.
