Important results from the project
The project has simplified and improved the continuous scheduling for mining companies and enables a lean operation that optimizes the use of mining resources. Another purpose was to help suppliers to develop relevant and competitive tools for the global market. This has been achieved. The goals are achieved by developing a model for continuous planning as well as a demonstration application.
Expected long term effects
Project goals have been achieved. A model for developed resource planning has been developed. Even a demonstration application has been developed and demonstrated, showing the feasibility and which can provide a good foundation for further development of robust applications.
Approach and implementation
The project has been carried out in collaboration with Boliden, ABB, Luleå Technical University (LTU) and Rock Tech Center. ABB and LTU have contributed with development resources while others have served as a claimant and expert competence. The work model with a number of work shops, where progress and demands have been discussed and necessary corrections of plans have been decided, and between development work of mainly LTU and ABB resources have worked well.
