Important results from the project
The purpose of the project is to make a thorough analysis on the possibilities and challenges of using open innovation to enhance and leverage Life Science innovation and to develop new creative value propositions to health care and society at large. The purpose can be said to be fulfilled as the main application was submitted to Vinnova on 2014-02-04
Expected long term effects
Key actors were mobilized and interviewed in the pre-study. The project team managed to develop a joint application submitted to Vinnova, now including also relevant actors outside of the Västra Götaland region.
Approach and implementation
The study included semi-structured interviews and informal conversations with relevant actors. Results from interview indicate a need for renewal within the Swedish life science innovation system, still very much concerned about creating entreprneurs out of acadmeic researchers
