Purpose and goal
Nordic Singapore Innovation Days (NSID) connects leading individuals from the innovation ecosystems in the Nordics and Singapore within sustainability. The focus is on family offices, investors, startups/scaleups, and incubators in Sustaintech/Climatetech. Sweden and Singapore, top nations in the Global Innovation Index, have small domestic markets and need to focus internationally. NSID works to foster collaboration and identify business opportunities with the goal of strengthening Sweden´s innovation capacity for sustainable growth through cooperation.
Expected effects and result
NSID will strengthen collaboration between intermediaries in the Nordics and Singapore by promoting cooperation and knowledge exchange. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of each innovation system and enhance their networks. Long-term international relationships will benefit companies, especially in deeptech. NSID aims to increase interest in the Nordics and Sweden as innovation leaders, attracting future visits and investments. Goals: Nordic delegation (10-12 people) at SWITCH, at least 40% women, identify 1-2 ideas for further development.
Planned approach and implementation
Implementation: The project comprises four work packages: Building the delegation: Recruiting 10-12 Nordic participants (minimum 40% women) from family offices, incubators, investors, and startups/scaleups. Program planning: Designing the program with input from Singaporean stakeholders. Program execution: Includes conferences, roundtable discussions, matchmaking, site visits, and evening activities. Follow-up and evaluation: Assessing project outcomes. Workgroups are led by SISP/Ignite Sweden, with involvement from Vinnova, Business Sweden & local partners.
