Venture Impact Innovation: Designing the places of the future for attractive, accessible and sustainable communities
Call Impact Innovation: Coordination project for shift labs within ShiftSweden

Purpose and goal

The project aims to coordinate and strengthen the work within transition labs to develop sustainable traffic environments in smaller urban areas. By bringing together expertise, enabling knowledge exchange, and addressing regulatory barriers, the lab projects are given better conditions to have an impact and contribute to systemic change. The project disseminates results, promotes scaling up, and supports solutions that accelerate the transition to sustainable, fair, and safe traffic areas.

Expected effects and result

Expected results are strengthened and better-coordinated transition labs that can effectively contribute to sustainable traffic environments in smaller towns and handle potential obstacles along the way. The coordination will lead to greater dissemination of solutions, identification and removal of policy barriers, and the development of complementary innovations. The effect will be a faster transition, greater systemic impact, and improved equitable and safe mobility for more social groups.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of five work packages designed to support the transition labs and maximize the benefits of their results. It includes project management, collaboration, communication, external cooperation, and scaling up. Through dialogue, workshops and policy work, learning is fostered, barriers are identified, and complementary innovations are developed. Finally, experiences are documented to disseminate results and promote systemic change and national application of solutions.
