LIGNOMINE

Important results from the project

The project enabled participation in IMARC 2024, providing insights into the development and needs of the mining industry. LIGNOMINE, a sustainable flotation reagent, was presented as a solution to reduce environmental impact in mining processes. We identified key stakeholders, disseminated knowledge through a specially designed brochure, and pinpointed key issues for a future market strategy. The result supports the development need of a sustainable business model and future industrial testing.

Expected long term effects

The long-term effects of the project are expected to be that LIGNOMINE becomes an attractive solution that promotes increased use of sustainable bio-based alternatives within the mining industry. By commercializing and implementing LIGNOMINE, the sustainability profile of the industry is expected to improve. The project also paves the way for further research and development, as well as contributing to establish new collaborations and business opportunities within the sector.

Approach and implementation

The project was of a limited nature and differed from typical projects. ONar Sweden AB was represented by two individuals. Prior to the conference, a brochure was designed to generate interest in LIGNOMINE´s technical solution. ONar participated in the conference and gathered valuable insights into the needs and key players of the mining industry. This information has since been processed to support the development of an upcoming commercialization strategy.
