Call Promote Swedish participation in Horisont Europa: planning projects in Sustainable industry 2021

Important results from the project

The overall goal of this planning project was to coordinate, create and submit a competitive application, LIFT, based on innovative ideas to address the challenges specified in the Horizon-CL4-2022-RESILIENCE-01-11 call. RISE (SICOMP), a leading Nordic research institute focusing on R&D of polymer-based composite materials and technologies coordinated the application. Another three Swedish companies and SMEs were formal partners in the consortium. The LIFT application was successfully submitted through ECAS portal on 30th March 2022.

Expected long term effects

The LIFT application was completed through creative and active collaboration between 12 partners from composite- and related industry and research across Europe. The consortium consists of 3 well-known research organizations, 6 SMEs with strong technology innovation focus, and 2 R&D-intensive large companies. Innovative methodologies and technologies were proposed to answer the scope specified in the call text. The business case and exploitation strategy were well outlined to the Destination.

Approach and implementation

The whole application and submission process of LIFT was well organized. Every partner in the consortium has been very committed and creative. The joint effort has led to a smooth and successful preparation and submission of a competitive LIFT application.
