Important results from the project
The aim of the project has been to deepen the knowledge about the societal impact of research using examples from the RAE2012 activity at KTH. THe result has been a thorough scrutiny of strategies to create impacts including case studies. A review of the experiences from the preparation of the English REF2014 system has been included.
Expected long term effects
The project has led to a decision to continue the work on societal impact of research at KTH and constituted the background material for two feasibility studies to VINNOVA in conjunction with the work on preparing for a new national system for allocation of funding to universities. The project has provided knowledge input to a much appreciated event av the 2013 Almedal week in Visby.
Approach and implementation
The projectsetup has been including with a number of dialogue seminars with KTH faculty and erternal parties within and outside the university sphere. It has implied that the KTH model for societal research has become a model for other actors.
