Important results from the project

The purpose was to visit matchmaking events in China to network and find new partners for forthcoming research calls, as well as strengthening existing networks and collaborations that are part of a previous call for bilateral cooperation projects between Sweden and China.

Expected long term effects

The result of the project is a strengthened network in China, which places VTI and their Swedish network in a strong position for future bilateral calls for cooperation between Sweden and China. The result was achieved through visits to matchmaking events (with presentations), visits to research institutes and universities, as well as two presentations at a scientific Conference in Shanghai (SAECCE).

Approach and implementation

In the project, we followed a VINNOVA-led delegation from Sweden to China to visit matchmaking events and thereby strengthening our position for forthcoming calls of bilateral cooperation projects. During the one-week trip, we visited a matchmaking event in Beijing where a presentation was also held at the traffic safety session. Then we also visited RIOH, a research institute in the transport sector, and then on to Shanghai for a visit to TONGJI University and the SAECCE conference where we held two presentations.
