Important results from the project

The overall purpose of Instrument SME is to increase the competitiveness of the small and medium-sized companies by packaging and disseminating results from Produktion2030 to them. The aim is also to increase researchers´ knowledge of the SME´s challenges. The project´s goal has been to carry out 35 Technology Workshops, with 200 companies and 400 people, and to package Produktion2030´s work with Production Innovation for distribution through TWS. This has been achieved with 38 TWS and slightly more participants than in the goal and that TWS Production Innovation was well received.

Expected long term effects

Results and expected effects - 38 completed TWS - 12 different TWS with content from research projects and test beds, of which 5 new for this project period - 270 participating companies with 430 participants, a total of 550 participants - 30 IUC employees from 16 IUC-Companies have been involved. Due to the pandemic, we have developed a new format for implementing TWS that lasts even after restrictions are lifted. - The new format also contributes to increased sustainability as neither organizers, reseraches nor participants need to travel.

Approach and implementation

The Covid-19 pandemic has driven our own development forward during the project period and provided a new, digital format for the TWS concept. This has made it easier for companies to participate. The fact that several IUC companies can now cooperate on each occasion also reduces the risk of having to cancel due to too few participants. This in combination with the fact that the underlying working methods have been developed with a digital collaboration platform for the organizers, shorter paths to dialogue through digital meetings, etc. makes TWS an even more effective instrument.
