Important results from the project
A research and innovation agenda has been developed for the Swedish industry based on hydraulteknologin. An export industry, with sales of nearly 100 billion, which includes industrial sectors which U-boats to the automotive, forestry and construction equipment, cranes, wave energy, process industry and aviation. Agenda´s vision is that Sweden will lead the development of industrial products and services characteristic of high productivity, halved energy consumption and sustainable life cycle - the innovative green hydraulics.
Expected long term effects
An agenda for research and innovation for substantial parts of Swedish industry utilizing hydraulics in its products and services and manufacturing processes has been developed. Swedish hydraulics industry shall meet the global needs and challenges by exploiting innovative green hydraulics in products and services characterized by a higher productivity, a 50 % reduction in their energy consumption and a sustainable product life cycle. This agenda will support and reinforce Sweden´s industrial growth strategy.
Approach and implementation
This agenda is to a large extent developed in a process of a many workshops and meetings with industry, academia and other actors in the hydraulics sector. Together with a state-of-the art analysis a R & D plan has been formulated to 2030 with goals and key performance indicators over short, medium- and long term.
