Important results from the project

The project´s aim was to conduct an innovation competition with the goal of selecting a winning innovation idea from among the competing funding with good potential to contribute to the development of a more sustainable transport system. The aim and objective were met. The project has made new contacts and formed networks by assessing and discussing new transformative solutions by a jury with good qualifications in the area.

Expected long term effects

In the long term, a new solution in the area of transport systems and digitalisation, in competition with other competition entries, has been given the chance to develop with support from the strategic innovation programs InfraSweden and Smartbuilt Environment. The innovation that won the competition will receive continued support and backing from InfraSweden and SmartBuilt Environment to reach the end of the implementation process.

Approach and implementation

The activities consisted of formulating the competition task and assessment criteria, recruiting jury members, communicating the competition, handling competition entries, holding a jury meeting, appointing finalists and winners. The competition was widely advertised via InfraSweden and Smartbuilt Environments channels and their networks. 7 entries were received. A jury of experts assessed and ranked the received funding and appointed three finalists and one winner.
