Important results from the project

The project aimed to enable trials with both pre- and post-process steps to GreenIron´s main process, which is the fossil-free reduction of metal oxides to metal. The objective was well met. Agglomeration and testing of binders have been carried out. Within the project, we have been able to evaluate results after GreenIron´s process with different binders and how agglomeration forms have affected important final properties of the product.

Expected long term effects

The results form the basis for designing a material with properties optimized for GreenIron´s process. This includes factors such as strength and carbon dioxide emissions.

Approach and implementation

The project was carried out by first mapping the area technically and various actors. Agglomeration with different parameters was carried out both in the lab scale and with external actors. The properties were verified in GreenIron´s process.
