Important results from the project

The project´s goals have been achieved. Representatives from healthcare and business can now meet in a legally secure and efficient manner through a clear structure. The Innovation & Renewal competence development will be included in the Region Uppsalas management program in 2025 A pilot for fall prevention (as a results of one of the processes) with the use of AI technology will start in 2025. Students from the engineering program have contributed to publications around implementation

Expected long term effects

Collaboration with the business community is a natural part of the work in healthcare Companies benefit from both expertise and healthcare environments when developing innovative products and services. More medical technology innovations based on healthcare needs are developed faster and benefit patients and healthcare professionals. Managers gain knowledge and tools to lead innovation. New working methods linked to the introduction of new medical technology become easier to establish.

Approach and implementation

Great focus was placed on collaboration and consensus on what needed to happen in the project´s reference group to arrive at processes for corporate collaborations. Working groups raised perspectives that were anchored in the reference group. Project leaders transformed ideas and identified solutions that were tested and further developed in an iterative process. The activities were relevant and the schedule was followed. The collaboration with care and support functions created many lessons.
