Call Impact Innovation: Implementation project for a reformed public sector

Purpose and goal

To develop food security preparedness with other actors primarily from the regional and local level.The project aims to provide the municipality with knowledge of the needs and conditions in order to subsequently take effective measures within food security and in this to promote local and regional food security also from a public health perspective. The project´s target group is primarily the citizens and secondarily all actors who are involved in the chain of local and regional food production.

Expected effects and result

•New networks and collaboration constellations •Increased knowledge and skills development among the project partners and identified target groups •Better food security •Suggestions for new measures to strengthen the local and regional food supply chain •Improved public health, by being able to influence the supply of local and healthier foods earlier •Developing food security in sparsely populated areas, by supporting local development nodes in the development of so-called safety-points

Planned approach and implementation

The project contains 6 work packages 1. Project management: An employed food strategist/preparedness coordinator will lead the project 2. Identification of obstacles, establishment of networks 3. Competence development 4. Dialogue and engagement with stakeholders on how we build a robust food system in the north. Business focus. 5. Learning and exchange of experiences 6. Developing food security in sparsely populated areas
