Reference number
Coordinator Region Uppsala - RCC Mellansverige
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 000 000
Project duration September 2022 - March 2023
Status Completed
Venture Increased utilization of health data
Call Together towards a real-world health data demonstrator

Important results from the project

The project plans a system demonstrator where the introduction of patient overviews in healthcare, with the possibility of transferring data to national quality registers, forms the basis for collaborations around follow-up data for drug use. The goal is improved opportunities for monitoring treatment effects in clinical everyday life, to strengthen TLV´s and the NT Council´s basis for subsidies and recommendations and to strengthen the conditions for equal care, research and innovation.

Expected long term effects

The project describes ongoing work in various parts of a major system change. By gathering these actors, and jointly building a system understanding of the potential of a functioning process, and what the challenges look like to make it work, a foundation has been laid for future development work. The project also includes an initial analysis of the values that can potentially be obtained by making the process functional and efficient.

Approach and implementation

The project has been performed in a total of eight work packages, where each work package constitutes one or more steps in the system demonstrator´s process. The project has taken a comprehensive approach to a process that is involving several organizations. Continued work is required to develop both the whole, as well as the constituent parts, of the process. Some of this have been initiated and a number of experiences have been gained, with the aim of strengthening a future project.
