Feasibility study/validation of energy collector technology for reloading of geothermal drill holes

Reference number
Coordinator EVERTECH ENERGY SOLUTIONS AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 300 000
Project duration July 2017 - December 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project “Feasibility study/validation of energy collector technology for reloading of geothermal drill holes” has during six months 2018 demonstrated two versions of Evertech Energy Solution´s system solution for recharging geothermal drill holes.

Expected results and effects

The demonstration was preceded by a series of verifications and calculations regarding the capacity of the energy collectors. In the actual demonstration, the active collector showed significantly better results, whilst the passive collector demonstrated results according to the initial assumptions. The demonstration has validated the collectors as a mean for recharging geothermal drill holes and a source for comfort heating.

Planned approach and implementation

The demonstration constructed, installed and demonstrated Evertech´s system solution in one of Örnsköldsvikshems facilities on the Köpmannaholmen: a passive and an active (electric-fan-equipped) collector. The systems were used to reload drill holes and provide heating directly to the property
