Important results from the project

The goals of Alfa Laval´s participation have been to contribute with well-designed equipment adopted to the actual applications regarding thermal and hydraulic performance as well as material selection and economical aspects in order to achieve the most competetive solutions for the technology. It was also a goal to increase Climeon´s knowledge of heat exchanging, and to collect experience of a new application. All goals are fulfilled.

Expected long term effects

The result is a system that has performed better than promised. The system as such thus works very well. The transfer of knowledge implies good opportunities for further development of the system. For Alfa Laval this means new business opportunities. As a part of this, commercial relations between Climeon and Alfa Laval has been established with customer register, contact persons, ordering routines etc. This has been used in the commercial projects that replaced the planned pilot plant. All has turned out very well.

Approach and implementation

Delivery of equipment and transfer of knowledge have worked in two modes: one short-term and one long-term. The short-term mode consisted of design and delivery of equipment, whereas the long-term mode involved knowledge transfer through training and support. Experience of use for Alfa Laval has been collected in all parts of the project.
